ترکیب حافظه های DDR3 با پلاتفورم AMD توسط گیگابایت


اندکی پس از معرفی پلاتفورم Dragon از سوی AMD، گیگابایت اولین مادربرد خود را با پشتیبانی از آن معرفی کرد. مادربرد GA-MA790FXT-UD5P از اولین مادربردهایی است که از پردازنده های Phenom II با کنترل کننده حافظه DDR3 پشتیبانی می کند. پردازنده های Phenom II با کنترل کننده حافظه داخلی DDR3 دارای تفاوت های چندانی از نظر معماری با پردازنده های دیگر این خانواده نیستند. حتی سرعت گذرگاه Hyper-Transport هم در این پردازنده ها تغییر نکرده است. این پردازنده ها همچنان از نسخه سوم گذرگاه Hyper-Transport با فرکانس 2.6 گیگاهرتز و نرخ انتقال داده 10.5 گیگابایت بر ثانیه پشتیبانی می کنند. علاوه بر این سایر مشخصات آنها نیز کاملا شبیه به پردازنده های Phenom II با کنترل کننده حافظه DDR2 و تکنولوژی ساخت 45 نانومتر است. درست به همین دلیل است که AMD برای پشتیبانی از این پردازنده های جدید نیازی به معرفی چیپ ستی تازه نداشته است. تولید کنندگان مادربرد می توانندبه راحتی و با ایجاد تغییرات اندکی در طراحی مادربردها از این پردازنده ها پشتیبانی کنند. البته به هیچ وجه نمی توان پردازنده های جدید را به همراه مادربردهای قدیمی مورد استفاده قرار داد زیرا این پردازنده ها تنها قادر به استفاده از حافظه های DDR3 بوده و البته سوکت نصب آنها نیز اندکی متفاوت است. درست به همین خاطر است که برای استفاده از آنها به مادربردی جدید نیاز دارید هرچند این مادربرد می تواند از چیپ ست های رایج استفاده کند. در حال حاظر چهار مدل پردازنده چهار هسته ای و سه مدل پردازنده سه هسته ای از خانواده PhenomII و با پشتیبانی از حافظه های DDR3 از سوی AMD روانه بازار شده اند.

شرکت گیگابایت یکی از نخستین شرکت هایی است که محصولات خود را برای پشتیبانی از این پردازنده جدید به بازار عرضه کرده است. در حقیقت مادربرد GA-MA790FXT-UD5P قدرتمند ترین مادربرد این شرکت است که از پردازنده های Phenom II با کنترل کننده حافظه DDR3 پشتیبانی می کند. همانطور که شاید از نام مادربرد فهمیده باشید، GA-MA790FXT-UD5P از چیپ ست AMD 790FX که قدرتمندترین چیپ ست حال حاظر AMD است استفاده می کند. چیپ ست 790FX به هیچ وجه محصول جدیدی نیست و حدود یک سال از عرضه آن به بازار می گذرد، اما با توجه به آنچه گفته شد برای بهره بردن از توانایی های نسل جدید پردازنده های Phenom II نیازی به استفاده از چیپ ست های جدید وجود ندارد. پشتیبانی از حافظه های DDR3با فرکانس استاندارد 1333 مگارهرتز و تا فرکانس 1666 مگارهرتز به صورت اورکلاک شده مهمترین تفاوت این مادربرد با محصولات هم خانواده خود است که از حافظه های DDR2 پشتیبانی می کنند. البته این مادربرد به هچ وجه قادر به پشتیبانی از پردازنده های Athlon X2 و یا Phenom نیست، پس در صورت ارتقا به مادربرد جدید باید پردازنده و حافظه خود را نیز تعویض کنید. اگر به یاد داشته باشید، چیپ ست های 790FX از دو تا سه درگاه PCI-Express 2.0 x16 و پیکره بندی CrossFireX پشتیبانی می کردند. این مادربرد نیز از این خصوصیت به خوبی استفاده کرده و دو درگاه گرافیکی را در اختیار کاربران قرار داده است که می توان تا دو کارت گرافیکی سری Radeon HD را تحت پیکره بندی CrossFireX بر روی آن مورد استفاده قرار داد.

یکی از مهم ترین نکاتی که باید درباره این مادربرد مورد توجه قرار داد، استفاده از نسخه سوم طراحی با طول عمر بالا در آن است. نسخه سوم تکنولوژی طراحی با طول عمر بالا که به تازگی معرفی شده است، در حقیقت دارای تاریخچه ای طولانی است. تاریخچه ای که باعث فراگیر شدن استفاده از خازن های حالت جامد در مادربردها شد و البته پای قطعات با کیفیت را به دنیای سخت افزار و به خصوص مادربردها باز کرد. حال در سومین نسل گیگابایت از PCB هایی (بردهای مدار چاپی) استفاده می کنند که لایه های داخلی آنها ضخیم تر هستند. در طراحی معمول مادربردها از PCB هایی استفاده می کنند که وزن لایه های داخلی آن در هر اینچ مربع یک اونس (حدود 28.3 گرم) است. اما در نسل سوم طراحی با طول عمر بالا که در این مادربرد نیز مورد استفاده قرار گرفته است وزن و در نتیجه قطر لایه های داخلی مسی تا دوبرابر افزایش یافته و به دو اونس (حدود 57 گرم) رسیده است. البته تنها لایه های داخلی که وظیفه انتقال توان و ایجاد اتصال زمین را دارند دچار چنین تغییراتی شده اند. گیگابایت ادعا می کند استفاده از این تکنولوژی سبب می شود مادربرد در بارهای کاری سنگین بسیار خنک عمل کرده و قادر باشد حتی هنگام اورکلاکینگ هم به خوبی عمل کند. علاوه بر این گیگابایت برای هرچه قدرتمند تر کردن مادربرد خود از یک مدار تغذیه 8 فاز در ساختمان آن استفاده کرده است. 10 درگاه SATAII به همراه تعداد بسیار زیادی از درگاه های دیگر از جمله 2 درگاه اترنت گیگابیت و 12 درگاه USB2.0 از دیگر اماکاناتی هستند که این مادربرد را به یک انتخاب ایده آل برای حرفه ای ها بدل کرده می کنند.

این مادربورد برخلاف بردهای قبلی سری crosshair که از چیپ انودیا استفاده می کردند
